While gaming had been a craze among us in the 1990s, today’s kids treat them like a divine lord who has the secret key to their happiness! And not only the kids, young and the old alike, whoever has discovered the joy of gaming, have been hooked on for eternity!

As soon as Computers took decent shape, and became efficient platforms, every other guy on Earth had been addicted to Bomber Man or Prince of Persia in no time. And as these guys (kids rather!) aged, they started discovering better graphics and better life-like features in games. The new-age games of today like the Halo series or Call of Duty, have become something that only the dreamers could think even in the last decade. But as in real life, gaming too revealed a new secret. Playing against your pals, or with them is much more fun than playing solo against the CPU. And that is where gaming, or online gaming has become an instant hit with today’s youth. With even corporate bodies encouraging employees to play in order to increase their team-chemistry online gaming has set new heights for the gaming industry to achieve.

The best advantage that online games provide is the fact that most come free. From small-scale versions of the popular games to indigenous arcade or adventure gaming, free online games rule the roost. My two sins any day would be choose a Halo2 Death-match against each other than go out to play on the see-saw. While many might dwell on the harmful effects of free games, I would focus on the positive ones. Like building camaraderie among brothers or friends, which, in actuality is as important as fitness in today’s life.
